For the third year in a row, Kuemper Catholic Schools’ first-grader, Maggie Haberl, has made a donation of books to St. Anthony Regional Hospital. On Wednesday, July 5, she presented 94 new books that are marked with the label “Maggie Makes You Feel Better with Books,” that will then be presented to children visiting or staying in the hospital. Maggie is the daughter of Ann and Greg Haberl, and Ann says, “She wants to make little kids feel better, and it makes her feel good seeing a sick child happy after receiving one of her books.” As a part of this giving process, each November, with the help of Erin Lenz through Usborne Books, Maggie hosts a book sale at the hospital’s employee benefit fair.
