It’s Smooth Sailing On Carroll County Roads, And For Other County Projects

Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, says residents will be happy to hear that they won’t have to be following pilot cars on county roads in the area as the asphalt work has been completed on the Templeton and Halbur roads and on Mahogany Ave./Grant Road. The painting on the stretch of highway leading out to Swan Lake was completed on Monday, leaving just the cutting of rumble strips for the stop signs and the addition of shoulder material to be done in the near future for completion. Paulson says by locking in a good price on the asphalt, the savings covered the cost of expanding the shoulders in the resurfacing project.

Other projects are moving along as well. The new Arcadia shed is under construction and the contractor, Rotert Construction of Halbur, is doing a nice job on the more than $127,000 build, according to Paulson.

Crews have also been working on crushing concrete for road material and more will be arriving in Carroll County this week or next.
