Iowa’s favorite cupcakes are coming to Glidden in less than two weeks. On Monday, July 24, the Scratch Cupcakery Curbside food truck will be on West 2nd St. in front of the Glidden Grocery from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Due to the large crowds expected, the City of Glidden will be closing the half-block west of the intersection of 2nd and Idaho streets to thru-traffic. Twelve of Scratch’s 300 flavors will be available while the truck is in town. The company’s most popular flavor, Wedding Day, is a vanilla- and almond-themed confection will certainly be on the list, but the other 11 flavors will remain a surprise until the Sunday before.
