Three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident early Sunday evening in Audubon County. At approximately 6:25 p.m., the Audubon County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene on Nighthawk Ave., approximately five miles southeast of Exira. Twenty-one-year-old Tasha Ann Anderson of Exira was driving a 2002 Hyundai eastbound on 320th Street when she attempted to turn north onto Nighthawk Ave. and lost control of the vehicle. She entered the east ditch and rolled, with the car coming to rest in a bean field. Anderson and her passengers, 20-year-old Michaela Mari Bacon and two-year-old Takia Zander, both also of Exira, were transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic by Exira Emergency Medical Services. There was an estimated $6,000 in damage to the Anderson vehicle and she has been charged with failure to maintain control.
