An unexpected sewer main repair is closing down 7th Street in Carroll for the majority of this week. On Monday, a plumber discovered a crack in the sewer main between Clark Street and East Street while connecting to the line. The city immediately closed the street to traffic for crews to address the issue. The road will remain closed until the problem is corrected. Initial estimates have the road back open on Thursday, June 8 around noon. There have been no reports of wastewater leaking from the pipe, but there are concerns the crack could lead to additional problems if not fixed. City employees recommend finding alternate routes during this time.
