Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company has announced an expansion of their storage and distribution space with the purchase of an industrial building south of downtown Des Moines. The building will provide the space needed for a recent territory expansion for their 210 products. “We’re delighted to have the opportunity to expand our family business to better serve customers throughout the area,” says CEO, Kirk Tyler. “The purchase of the Des Moines facility is a great investment in our Atlantic roots, the Des Moines market and for our operations across the state.” The Atlantic Bottling Company has been family-owned for 108 years and first acquired the Des Moines territory in 1975. In October of last year, the company was awarded distribution rights for most of the state of Iowa, including parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Missouri. The new building is located on Army Post Road with access to Highway 5 and Interstates 80 and 35.
