At last week’s Carroll County Board of Supervisors meeting, Executive Director for Region XII Council of Governments, Rick Hunsaker, made a request for supplemental funding for their revolving loan fund. Supervisor Rich Ruggles says they have a lot of loans out to businesses and entrepreneurs in their six-county service area. There is money to cover it, but this would be a shot in the arm for the fund.
The request is being made in each of the six counties—Carroll, Sac, Guthrie, Audubon, Crawford and Greene–for a contribution of $21,000. The initial discussion had the supervisors in agreement that they would want to see what the other counties were going to do before making a firm decision on approving the supplemental funding. The issue was tabled until Tuesday’s meeting, at which time Chair, Gene Meiners, made a recommendation.
The motion was approved on a unanimous vote of the supervisors present. Dean Schettler was absent from Tuesday’s meeting.
