Carroll City Council To Open Next Meeting With Tour Of Cemetery Building

The Carroll City Council will be holding another regularly-scheduled meeting on Monday, May 8, but City Manager, Mike Pogge-Weaver, says they will not be convening that meeting in the second-floor council chambers as usual.

Once returning to the council chambers at City Hall, at around 5:30 p.m., the council will address new business, including a contract to conduct the work detailed in the water treatment facility plan.

Other business includes some permits for the Northridge fourth subdivision, a depository resolution that will list the local banks the city will utilize for deposits, a review of the City Manager’s contract and a discussion on the Carroll east entry sign based on the mock-up that was put up briefly on Friday. The city will also be reviewing bids for the replacement of all the ceiling lights at the Carroll Rec Center, which will require closing the pool as it will need to be drained to complete the project. Following the new business, the council will hold a sidewalk workshop.

The public is invited to attend the tour of the new cemetery building on Grant Road beginning at 5:15 p.m. Monday as well as the meeting that follows back at City Hall.
