Residents at Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids were unable to experience the Coon Rapids-Bayard (CR-B) Prom Grand March, but instead had the dance brought to them last weekend for the second year in a row. More than 10 high school students from the National Honor Society (NHS) and Student Council spent Saturday evening with the residents during the 2017 Senior Dance. Brody Schlepp, NHS and Student Council president, says this is the second year they have held this event.
The whole affair got underway at 4:30 p.m. and was based on typical prom practices. According to Schlepp, both students and seniors enjoyed the evening.
With two years in the books, CR-B students have full intentions to continue the Senior Dance next year with residents at Thomas Rest Haven. Photos from the dance can be found included below this story.
