Manning’s Sixth Annual Trail To Nowhere Ride Is Memorial Tribute To Fellow Cyclist, Steve Buser

Manning’s sixth annual Trail to Nowhere Ride is Saturday, April 22, and registration is open right now. Manning City Administrator and ride organizer, Dawn Rohe, says this year’s event will be honoring one of their own.

Memorials and tributes to Buser will be incorporated into the ride as well. Rohe said that the event’s unusual name  came directly out of the need to raise money for the Manning Trail system.

The route takes riders through downtown Manning, then around the outskirts of town in a five mile loop. Rohe said participants can do as many or as few loops as they like, and runners and walkers are welcome as well. When not on the trail, everyone is invited to participate in activities downtown. Last year there were around 100 people registered for the ride, but Rohe said they are expecting at least double that number this year. To guarantee you get the proper size t-shirt, registrations need to be made by April 7, for riders and supporters.

Check in and registration the day of the event will begin at 1 p.m. in downtown Manning, and a memorial lap in honor of Buser will start at 2 p.m. More information and a link to register can be found below.
