Relief For Committee Members After Carroll Stadium Referendum Passes

Just over 26 percent of the 10,152 registered voters in the Carroll Community School District submitted ballots in the special Public Measure S bond referendum vote on Tuesday night. And, slightly over 75 percent of those voters said yes to the $4.5 million measure that will be used to help cover costs of $6.2 million to renovate and upgrade the current Carroll Stadium on Grant Road. Committee member, Jair Mayhall, said that they really had not heard a lot of opposition, but there were a lot of questions from the public.

With an unofficial vote of 1995 in favor and 660 against, there was a palpable sense of relief from committee members Tuesday night as the months of meetings, planning and communicating with the public ended on a very positive note.
