Glidden Recieves $1,000 From ICAP For Use In City Parks

The City of Glidden has received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP). ICAP is a group self-insurance program for Iowa’s public entities and provides property and casualty coverage, risk-sharing facilities and risk-management services to its members. This grant is a special initiative in celebration of ICAP’s 30th anniversary of assisting cities with risk and loss control. Funds can be used by grant recipients for approved playground surface materials, exit signage, automated external defibrillators, fire extinguishers or other purchases to improve safety within a community. Glidden chose to use their award to purchase playground fall material for three playgrounds throughout the town.
