The winter months are the hardest time of the year to enjoy the outdoors, but the Sac County Conservation Board is holding a winter camp after Christmas to encourage youth to get outside. On Wednesday, Dec. 28 in Hagge Park, children can learn about nature, participate in winter themed activities and explore the outdoors by snowshoeing and hiking. There will be two seminars, each two hours long. From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., children ages five to seven will meet, and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., eight to 10 years olds will have their camp. The program is free of charge, but registration is required due to limited space.
