Landus Cooperative has announced a photo contest that will give members of the cooperative, local communities and customers the chance to have their rural and agricultural-themed photos included in the 2017 calendar. Director of Communications, Alicia Heun, said they are “looking for great photos that showcase our members, customers and staff and the important impact agriculture has on their communities and families.” Entries must be submitted online at LandusCooperative.com by Thursday, Oct. 1. After that deadline, a social media contest will be held, collecting votes on Facebook and Twitter to determine the “People’s Choice” photo, which will be displayed on the back of the calendar. Along with having their artwork showcased in the 2017 calendar, photographers included in the calendar will receive a Visa gift card and a Landus Cooperative goodie bag. Heun reminds everyone they are encouraged to keep in mind some of the months that celebrate agriculture as they go out to capture their imagery. She said the photos are not required to align with the themes, but preference may be given to those that do. A full listing of the monthly celebrations and contact links for more information can be found below. Calendars will be made available at all Landus locations in December.
