Wild Rose Jefferson Participates In Responsible Gaming Education

Wild Rose Casino and Resort Jefferson is one of 19 licensed commercial Iowa casinos that will be participating in the 17th annual Responsible Gaming Education Week from Monday, Aug. 1 through Friday, Aug. 5. These casinos will be offering several activities aimed at heightening awareness of problem gambling. The focus at each location will include frequently asked questions about the self-exclusion process, tips for having a conversation about problem gambling tailored for both casino staff training and families as well as keeping gambling fun. “Casinos want to promote, with employees and patrons alike, that a high majority of people coming to a casino can do so as responsible, fun entertainment,” said Wes Ehrecke, President and CEO of the Iowa Gaming Association. “For the small percentage who would seek help, it is worthwhile to collaborate with the Iowa Gaming Treatment Program (IGTP) and heighten awareness with improved tools and resources.” More information on getting help and a full listing of the Iowa casinos involved in the educational programs can be found below.
