On Friday, July 29 at approximately 7:51 a.m., Rose May of Jefferson reported vandalism at her home at 1309 Lincoln Way. This wasn’t your typical vandalism though. May reported that the vandal spray-painted “We Love Trump” on the side of her home. Nearly two miles away at 701 South Chestnut Street, Sam Harding reported the same vandalism on his home. Mark Clouse, Jefferson Chief of Police, said the residences showed no sign of why they were targeted.
Chief Clouse doesn’t believe that the vandal is associated with any political campaign.
They currently don’t have any suspects in the vandalism, but they do believe the two instances were committed by the same individual.
