Vote Farmer! Booth At Iowa State Fair Will Feature 50 Foot Sand Sculpture

People have all kind of opinions when it comes to this year’s presidential candidates, but there is one candidate that has a proven record providing high-quality products and food security: the Iowa Farmer. You can join in celebrating Iowa’s best agricultural candidates at the Iowa Food & Family Project (Iowa FFP) Vote Farmers! Aug. 11 to the 21 at the Iowa State Fair. The feature will be located in the south atrium of the Varied Industries Building and will feature a massive sculpture carved from 50 tons of sand. Visitors can see the sculpture being carved throughout the event by artists Greg and Brandi Glenn. Sculpting will begin on the first day of the fair and last for one week. Activities and prizes will be available at the Vote Farmer! booth where you can possibly win 500$ in farm-fresh pork, beef or turkey, $250 in Hy-Vee groceries or a year of Casey’s Pizza. The Iowa Pork Producers Association, Iowa Beef Industry Council, Casey’s General Stores, ISA and the United Soybean Board will be assisting with the exhibit.
