At approximately 12:55 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 17-year-old Robert Joseph Hamilton of Glidden was traveling westbound on 3rd Street in Glidden in a 2013 Nissan Altima when he approached the stop sign at the intersection with Idaho Street. Hamilton said he did not come to a complete stop, and rolled through the intersection just as a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 61-year-old Kim Sue Hein of Glidden, was approaching from the north on Idaho Street. Hein did not have a stop sign and proceeded through the intersection and was struck in the driver’s side door by the Hamilton vehicle. Neither driver was injured, but there was an estimated $3,000 in damage to the Hein vehicle and 3,500 in damage to the Hamilton car. Hamilton was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
