Traffic Signals Go Dark In Next Phase Of Study

While driving through Carroll on the Highway 30 corridor this morning, you may have noticed that there has been a change to the traffic signals at the intersections with Adams and Court Streets. As of Tuesday, the traffic lights at those intersections have been shut down and covered. This deactivation, explains Randy Krauel Director of Public Works, is the next step in the traffic signal study being conducted for a determination on whether or not to eliminate these two traffic lights.

The signals will remain deactivated for an additional 90 days, until Sept. 20.

The Carroll City Council will make a determination to retain or permanently remove the traffic signals at these two intersections at the conclusion of those 90 days.
