Father’s Day weekend is celebrated in many ways by different people, but in Manning, that weekend has been recognized with a well-loved tradition, Kinderfest. President of the Manning Betterment Foundation, Kevin Boyle, says this is a historic celebration for the community.
The weekend kicks off this afternoon (June 17) with a special appearance by Iowa Public Television’s KIDS Clubhouse co-host and host of the popular Reading Road Trip, Dan Wardell. He will be at the Manning Rec Center beginning at 4 p.m. On Saturday, Boyle said, a full-day of scheduled activities will provide fun for the whole family.
