With the newly published CADC Housing Study complete, now the process of how this study can be used by each community as a blue print for future planning has begun. CADC Executive Director Shannon Landauer spoke with Carroll Broadcasting about the meetings that took place last night (Tuesday). Amy Haase with RDG, the firm that conducted the study was on hand to answer questions from those in attendance on any facet of the study. Landauer says the meetings resulted in a good conversation on a couple of points.
Each community in Carroll County will have to look at the study and decide for themselves how to move forward. Manning already has discussions under way as a result of the study, and Landauer says other communities will also need a special look.
While many of the aspects of the study were known to local builders and contractors, Landauer appreciates the fine line they have to work with when it comes to workforce housing as compared to other community housing needs.
