Mass of the Christian Burial for 84 year old Lavern Riesenberg of Halbur will be Friday at 10:30am at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Halbur with burial at the Parish Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Arcadia American Legion. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 4pm Thursday where there will be a Rosary at 5 and a Christian Wake Service at 7 Thursday evening. The casket will be moved to the church Friday morning where visitation will resume after 9:30 Friday morning until time of Mass. Lavern Riesenberg is survived by 13 children: Dave of Manson, Dale of Sioux City, Don of West Bend, Denise Petty of Princeton, Tom of Carroll, Chuck of West Bend, Scott of Cedar Rapids, Russ of Roselle, Tricia Ezekwe of Kansas City, Craig of Muscatine, Matt of Virginia, Kris of Minnesota, and Nic of Maryland…..29 grandchildren…..11 great grandchildren….and 2 sisters: Irene Schroeder and Laura Wernimont, both of Carroll.
