The Sac County Sheriff’s Office has filed 14 charges on 10 individuals after a party was broken up by area law enforcement in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 1. A deputy on routine patrol at approximately 12:22 a.m. noticed a large amount of vehicle traffic near 3381 Wadsley Ave., east of Lake View. Other area law enforcement officials had received reports of the possibility of a “fight club” party taking place in the same area, which were confirmed during an investigation. The fights, however, had been called off because of the rain. The following individuals were arrested and transported to the Sac County Jail: 19-year-old Larry Luna Ponce of Belmond, charged with interference with official acts and public intoxication; 19-year-old Jamie Calvin Johnson, Jr. of Schererville, Ind., charged with interference with official acts and public intoxication; 18-year-old Tanner Michael Helmers of Fort Dodge, charged with possession of Marijuana; and 25-year-old Alexander James Taylor of Lytton, charged with public intoxication—second or subsequent offense and interference with official acts. The following were cited for minor in possession of alcohol and released: 19-year-old Kenneth Scott Joens of Galva; 18-year-old Khayman Marcelino Reyna of Dows; 20-year-old Austin Michael Griffin of Eagle Grove; 19-year-old Allysha Ann Vibbard of Sac City; 19-year-old Carly A. Knowles of Churdan; and 20-year-old Alan King Douglas of Fort Dodge.
