Results of Carroll County Housing Assessment to be released next week

Early next week results from a countywide Housing Assessment of Carroll County will be released. The survey’s completion was originally scheduled for earlier this year, however Carroll Area Development Corporation Executive Director, Shannon Landauer says the scope of the project generated a lot of information and digesting all of it caused a delay.

The Housing Assessment is a joint project between Carroll County, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Carroll which commissioned the study with the intent to focus on workforce housing needs for each community within the county. Landauer says a combination of census data and public perception created the document which is easily accessible and not full of complicated language.

So when will the results be released?

Once the survey results are available look for the document on the Carroll Chamber’s Website under the “Housing” tab at the top of the front page. Public meetings with the document’s consultant are also planned for later this month, says Landauer, with upcoming dates and times to be released through local media. Again, the CADC Housing Survey will be released to city and county entities on Monday, May 9 and to the public on Tuesday, May 10 through the Chamber’s website: www.carrolliowa.com.
