At 3:37 pm on Monday, April 25, a request for an officer with the Jefferson Police Department came in from the Greene County High School after a student was accused of assaulting a teacher. The incident occurred after the student was asked to clean up his mess. The student was reportedly unhappy about being asked to do so, and then allegedly sprayed the teacher in the face with a chemical cleaner. The 16 year-old juvenile male faces charges of simple-assault which have been sent to Juvenile Court.
