Carroll American Legion member Rick Keat is looking forward to the 2nd Annual Carroll American Legion Garage Sale Fundraiser set for next weekend. Last year’s sale was the first and he says it was a big success, but it wouldn’t have been if it wasn’t for all those involved.
Donated items are what power the sale and Legion members are currently accepting items of value for this year’s garage sale. Legion member Bob Tigges explains how people can donate.
There are a few items they’re not accepting, like adult clothing and electronics, adds Keat. He says if they don’t sell those items it hurts the fundraising effort.
In addition to expected garage sale finds like furniture, tools, knick-knacks, games, and sporting equipment members will also be selling American made American Flags of various sizes. For more information about the sale, or how you can donate, contact the Carroll Legion at 712-792-9378 and leave a message.
The Carroll American Legion will be accepting donations at the Legion Hall located at 1124 Heires Avenue on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 19, 20, and 21) from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Donors may also call the legion with any questions or for help with larger items at 712-792-9378. Please leave a message. The sale itself will take place Friday, April 22 from 3:00 – 7:00 pm and on Saturday, April 23 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Carroll American Legion Building.
