The Carroll County Board of Supervisors recently approved a tentative agreement with the Conservation Union. Supervisor Mark Beardmore said the agreement had been sent out and they are awaiting a signature on it.
Beardmore said, as he has stated in the past, he is not in favor of this arrangement, but it does move it off of dead center and avoids possible arbitration.
Beardmore added he wanted to see things kept fair and that is why he will be voting against it, but he understands the other Supervisors’ position. Supervisor’s Dean Schettler, Neal Bock and Marty Danzer agreed with Beardmore about their disappointment, and about the fact that this is really the only way to make progress. Gene Meiners explained his position on the subject.
A motion on acceptance of the tentative agreement was made and seconded, and passed a vote of four in favor and one against.
