Only minor injuries were reported, but a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro sustained major damage in a car-deer accident Tuesday night at approximately 8:44 p.m. on Highway 30 near J Ave. east of Scranton. Twenty-seven-year-old Catlin Jeffrey Laffoon of Ames was eastbound on Highway 30 when a deer ran onto the roadway. Lafoon was transported to the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson for further evaluation of minor injuries. Laffoon was wearing his seatbelt and the airbags did deploy.
