The Greene County Sheriff’s Office spent some time last Thursday afternoon chasing down a pig that had taken it “on the lam” from a nearby hog-confinement facility. At approximately 2:31 p.m. on March 24, a deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of 290th Street southeast of Scranton after receiving reports that a butcher hog was headed eastbound on 290th. The pig was located and escorted to the next farm residence without incident.
