A Rippey man was arrested for drug possession following an accident yesterday (Monday) afternoon on the curve between 235th and 230th Streets east of Jefferson. At approximately 4:57 p.m., the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to find that a 1999 Ford Escort, driven by 23-year-old Nathan James Flinn of Rippey, was westbound when he crossed the center line. He struck a 2002 Dodge Caravan driven by 57-year-old Bryan Keith Langfitt of Grand Junction. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles were determined to be total losses. After further investigation, Flinn was arrested for Driving While Revoked, No Insurance, Possession of Prescription Medications, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Marijuana.
