There were over 30 participants in the most recent Cash Mob event, “Spendin’ of the Green,” hosted by the Jefferson Main Street Promotion Committee on Saturday, March 12. Many had a good time with the “Wearin’ of the Green” as they parted with at least $20 of it at Don’s Ace Hardware, the business name drawn that morning. Led by a feisty leprechaun, the group completed their shopping and then set off to Peony Chinese restaurant for lunch, where Kathy Steussy won $25 in Chamber Bucks and Amy McGinn won a give certificate to the Sierra Theatre, donated by Lisa Jaskey. With the success of the last two events, the committee is busy planning the next Cash Mob in the very near future.
