This summer the City of Lake View will replace some existing electrical service lines nearing the end of their life. City Clerk Scott Peterson says the work is part of an annual plan to perform regular maintenance on the city operated electrical service, and this year they’ll be focused on replacing buried cables.
Following the underground boring process the city will then take care of all electric terminations. There isn’t one concentrated area in need of attention, Peterson says, rather the work will be based on need.
Approximately 6,000 feet of cable is expected to be replaced during the 2016 summer construction season.
