The Carroll Wellness Coalition has been busy working on plans for the Live Healthy Iowa 5K run/walk and 1K kids run that will be taking place on Saturday, April 9, but are still in need of volunteers. Coalition member, Kristen Taylor, said they have only a few people signed up to help, and are asking everyone to consider pledging a little of their time for this great community event. They are in need of people to work that morning from between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. The races will start and finish at the East Shelter House at Swan Lake. Packet pick up and registration will be held from 7 to 7:45 a.m. with the 5K getting underway at 8 a.m. The kid’s 1K run will start at 9 a.m. Participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers will get a medal. Refreshments and prizes will also be available after the race. Early registration can be done at livehealthyiowa.org. To volunteer, email Kristen at taylke03@gmail.com or Justin Abrams at justin.abrams@mrhcia.com.
