The Sac County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an Ida Grove man who is wanted on charges for attempted murder. 36 year-old Jeremy Allen Werneburg is alleged to have purposefully struck a Glidden man with his vehicle over the weekend outside the Carnarvon Inn. The incident occurred on Sunday night at 110 370th Street in Carnarvon; with the victim being transported to Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City with serious injuries and then transferred to a Des Moines area hospital.
Werneburg is described by the Sheriff’s Office as a 6 foot 3 inch tall white male, weighing approximately 205 pounds, with strawberry blond hair and blue eyes. Werneburg has ties to the Carroll, Humbolt, Wall Lake, and Ida Grove areas, and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Sac County Sheriff’s Office at 712-662-7127.
