This past week, Carroll Chamber of Commerce and Carroll Area Development Corporation Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, announced that Elizabeth Uhlenkamp had been named the new Program Director with the organization; replacing Sue Schrad who resigned in December after 30 years in the position. Uhlenkamp began her duties yesterday (Monday) and said she is excited to start a new challenge in her career field with the Chamber and is looking forward to working with the exemplary team already in place. Uhlenkamp is a Kansas City, Mo. native who has lived in the Carroll area for over a year, but is still familiarizing herself with businesses and the culture. She is a 2014 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations. Landauer said Uhlenkamp will be able to bring fresh new insights to both the Chamber and the Carroll Area Development Corporation. Uhlenkamp added she loves the small-town atmosphere, the history and the pride shown here and that she is ready to continue the successful Chamber events as well as the work to make the Carroll area more marketable to potential businesses, residents and tourism.
