One of Senator Rand Paul’s campaign promises is to create a 14.5% flat tax for both individuals and businesses if he becomes president. Paul says he’ll get rid of the payroll tax which businesses will then pay, and though his tax proposal does bring in less revenue for the government, he says it will leave more money in the economy.
