The Donna Reed Foundation in Denison will be hosting the 2015-16 American Icon Series with a presentation of “Living Rushmore” on Saturday, Jan. 30. The production will bring four nationally accomplished Presidential historians to the stage portraying Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. This is the first time in Iowa that the production can be viewed, and is the most unique of the Icon Series features to date, according to Coordinator, Tim Tracy. These nationally acclaimed Presidential impersonators will talk about their presidencies, our democracy and answer questions from their historical perspective, Tracy said. Abraham Lincoln will be portrayed by Fritz Klein from the Lincoln Institute in Springfield, Ill. Jefferson is played by Bill Barker, who has been studying and researching Jefferson and his world since his youth. Gib Young, a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Association, and a life-long admirer of the President is honored to interpret the great leader and Carl Closs from Kennett Square Penn. is a former educator and senior business executive who has dedicated his retirement to helping others discover George Washington.
