The Jefferson Matters Main Street Tower Team has partnered with Home State Bank to hold the Ring Out for Art sculpture competition as a part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Mahanay Bell Tower. This contest is open to professional and amateur sculptors of all backgrounds and genres to submit an original work of art that will be entered to win a $500, $1,000 or $2,000 prize. The only requirement for the contest is that the sculpture must incorporate a bell. Applications are available at the Main Street office or online at www.jeffersonmatters.org and are to be submitted with a drawing of the proposed sculpture by Monday, Feb. 29.
