Christmas Day is just one week away…do you know what you’re doing for dinner? The City of Glidden is inviting area residents to their Community Christmas Dinner which will be held on Christmas Day, December 25. The dinner, says City Clerk Suzy Danner, is sponsored by the Glidden Masonic Lodge, JJ’s Catering and others.
If you aren’t able to donate come and enjoy the meal anyway among members of the community. Danner says the dinner is a great option for people who would otherwise be alone for Christmas and also for busy families who may not have time to cook. However, if there is time to bake you can donate a pie or your time by volunteering to serve up food which will be served up at the Lincoln Club in Glidden for a free will donation. The Christmas Day Dinner will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm and reservations are requested. They can be made over the weekend by calling the Glidden City office at 712-659-3010 to leave a message or by emailing g.cityhall@mchsi.com. Volunteers or those wishing to donate pies are also asked to call the city office.
