Fifty-one-year-old Karin Kathleen Helt of Exira was arrested at approximately 1 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13 north of Exira and charged with Operating While Intoxicated—first offense. Helt was transported to the Audubon County Jail by the Audubon County Sheriff’s office and later released following an appearance before the magistrate. A preliminary hearing has been set for Dec. 31.
