A verbal domestic altercation in the 1000 block of 200th Street northwest of Jefferson led to the arrest of 38-year-old Dustin Eugene Leggitt of rural Jefferson. A Greene County Deputy and an Iowa State Patrol officer reported to the scene at approximately 12:03 a.m. yesterday (Sunday) and witnessed a vehicle drive into the farm residence. The driver, Leggitt, exited the vehicle and approached a female standing in the yard. After an investigation, Leggit was taken into custody and charged with Operating While Intoxicated—first offense, a Serious Misdemeanor.
