The Greene County Sheriff’s office and four units from the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a report of a field fire at approximately 2:28 p.m. yesterday (Monday). The fire consumed several acres of combined stubble in the field located in the 900 block of 300th Street southwest of Jefferson. There was no loss of farm equipment in the fire.
