New Route For Carroll Tradition On Band Day

Twelve marching bands and 60 local entries will take to the streets of Carroll this Saturday, Oct. 3 in the 58th Annual Carroll Band Day Parade. The Carroll Chamber of Commerce is coordinating the event that will feature local bands from Kuemper, Carroll High School, East Sac, Ar-We-Va, Glidden-Ralston, Guthrie Center, Perry, Roland Story and Cherokee. Marshals for this year’s parade will be Carroll Realtors, represented by Doris and Jerry Wilson. The route for the 10:30 a.m. parade has been slightly altered this year due to road construction. They will begin at the corner of 12th and Adams then proceed east to Clark Street, South to 9th and then east again into Graham Park where judging will take place. Bands will end their march at the Carroll Football Stadium, where immediately following the parade, field performances will be held. John Perrin, Carroll Chamber President, will present trophies to winning bands in class 1A, 2A, 3A and middle school. A map outlining the new route can be found below.
