All West Central Cooperative and Farmers Cooperative members are invited to attend an informational meeting addressing the potential merger between the two cooperatives. Beginning at 11:30 this morning (Thursday) at the Carrollton in Carroll, there will be a review of each company’s fiscal year financials, a harvest update followed by a question and answer session. West Central and Farmers Coop announced on Aug. 19, that both had signed a letter of intent to study the benefits members could derive from unification. According to CEOs Jim Chism and Milan Kucerak, the shared resources between 52 Farmers Coop sites and 24 West Central sites will not only make them one of the leading agricultural cooperatives in the state and country, it will help reduce costs, increase capabilities and provide options to members, employees and future employees. Again, that members meeting for area West Central and Farmers Coop members will be held this morning at 11:30 a.m. at the Carrollton. Light refreshments will be served.
