The Carroll County Sheriff’s office reported to a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of 330th Street and Olympic Ave. south of Dedham at approximately 9:51 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9. A 1997 Chevrolet K2500 driven by 41-year-old Amy Jo Petersen of Audubon was northbound on Olympic Ave. when a 2005 Toyota Corolla Matrix Driven by 53-year-old Sherri Ann Steffes of Manning failed to obey a stop sign on 330th Street, striking the Petersen vehicle. Both drivers were transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County EMS for treatment of minor injuries. There was disabling damage to both vehicles with the Petersen damages estimated at $4,000 and the Steffes damages at $7,500. Steffes was cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.
