New Holland Agriculture and Growth Energy teamed up for a national giveaway that landed Bill and Katherine Howell of Coon Rapids with a brand new Boomer 47 New Holland tractor valued at over $30,000. New Holland Territory Sales Manager, George Rigdon was on hand at Haley Equipment in Carroll yesterday (Monday) afternoon to present the Howell’s the keys and introduce them to their newest piece of equipment.

Bill said it was Katherine’s birthday, Nov. 18, when he got the call that they had won the tractor. He was at a meeting in Sioux Falls and Katherine was in Florida gutting a house when he called her to share the news.

Katherine said she didn’t believe Bill at first, but he convinced her and she became very excited as she will be the one using the tractor. She joked that she did the horses, cows and the sheep and Bill made money with his brain. The tractor has been detailed to highlight the ethanol connection with an RCR decal for Richard Childress Racing, and the number three for one of the Howell’s favorite NASCAR racers, Austin Dillon. Bill said there have been over eight million miles run on ethanol in NASCAR and zero incidents with their high performing engines, which makes him proud to have that displayed on his equipment. Haley Equipment will be delivering the tractor to the Howells in Coon Rapids and providing the ongoing support for their new Boomer 47. President, Clay Haley, said this was a unique opportunity for everybody involved.

Growth Energy represents ethanol producers and supports the achievement of energy independence, economic well-being and a healthier environment.
