The Carroll Area Development Corporation and RDG Planning and Design are moving forward with the information-gathering phase of the county-wide housing assessment and have announced the time and locations of public open houses to be held throughout Carroll County this month. They will be seeking community input on the housing market during the meetings scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16. The open houses will last approximately 90 minutes each and are not community specific. Individuals are free to attend the one that best fits their schedule. The Sept. 15th open houses will begin at the Manning City Park Shelter House at 8:30 a.m. The second Tuesday meeting will be at the Hudson Building in Coon Rapids at 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, Sept. 16, they will be at the Breda City Park Shelter House at 8:30 a.m., the Glidden Community Meeting Room at noon and at the Harold Bierl Community Room in the Depot Plaza at 5:30 p.m. In addition to the public open houses, citizens are encouraged to complete a short survey on their perception of the market for owner-occupied and rental housing in Carroll County.
