Carroll, Iowa -- Mary Bruner of Carroll announced Wednesday morning that she will seek the democratic nomination for the District 26 Seat on the Iowa Senate currently held by Republican Steve Kettering who announced late last year that he would not seek re-election.  Bruner says she decided to run after talking with her family and friends and feels Western Iowa needs to keep a voice in Des Moines.  Bruner says her background has helped prepare her for her senate run.
