The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) has been called in to assist with an investigation into the unusual death of a Nevada infant. According to Nevada Police Sergeant, Chris Brandes, authorities were notified of the death at approximately 6:06 p.m. on Sunday, June 11. The child was identified as seven-month-old Xena Angel Shore. The child’s parents were identified as Sheyenne Shore and Juan Montalvo, also of Nevada. The Nevada Public Safety Department and Iowa DCI are working with the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the series of events leading up to the infant’s death. Brandes says no further information will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
