Sergeant Bluff Luton 51

Carroll 39

It was a game of runs on Thursday night and Sergeant Bluff Luton had the last run as they knock off the Tigers.  The game was closer than the final score as the Tigers trailed by 1 after 3 quarters. A quick start by the Warriors put them up 9-4 after the 1st quarter. The Tigers were finding it tough to get into their offense and relied heavily on Karter Lein who had two layups off dribble penetration but the Tigers were missing good looks from the outside. That changed in the 2nd quarter after Tory Feldman jump started the offense with a great offensive rebound and put back to make it 9-6, Carroll went on a 9-0 run to get up 13-9. Nick Muller hit a 3 to cut the lead to 1 and the Warriors answered by scoring 8 of the next 9 points to lead 17-14 at half. The 1st half had 3 lead changes and 3 ties with Carroll largest lead being 13-9 and Sergeant Bluff Luton largest lead 9-4. This time Jacob Imming got loose on the baseline and put the Warriors back up 24-23. Carroll responded with Karter Lein and Booth knocking down 3’s to build a 29-24 lead. This time Sergeant Bluff Luton answered with a pair of 3’s at the end of the 3rd quarter to go up 30-29.  The 4th didn’t start any better for Carroll with Sergeant Bluff hitting two more 3’s, Carroll getting a bucket and then another 3 from SBL to put them up 39-31. From there they slowed pulled away as Carroll was able to get to the rim but couldn’t get shots to fall. SBL salted it away at the line going 8-12 for the game. Carroll shot just 10-30 in the 2nd half and Sergeant Bluff Luton hit 11-20 shots in the 2nd half.
